An exciting development at the apiary recently is the installation of new hive stands. The old wooden stands had done sterling service for many years but were beginning to show their age. Some of the stand legs had been cut down to remove rotten ends and all were a looking a bit past their best. The club has fabricated new stands with metal legs that wont rust and are adjustable to provide a perfectly flat surface on uneven ground. The apiary looks even better after their installation and is a resource members can really enjoy and be proud of.
